MakeDaysCount - Paasvakantie Arnhem, Nederlands

To be able to settle yourselves down and be peaceful once in a while is definitely a good idea. School has been stressful for the past few weeks before the vacation. Rushing for works to be done, studying for oral examinations and never ending translation work.
It's finally family-quantity-time. <3

We reached at the vacation house around 5 in the evening. So cool that it was actually a park full with houses (caravans) and facilities ( swimming pool, gym, playground, restaurant .....)  Settled ourselves down in the house, and drove out to get dinner and some grocery shopping for the next few days stays. I had spaghetti bolognese. It was super delicious. The food was all in big portion ( like a XXL for me )

Then was a peaceful night staying at the vacation house.

Next morning, Saturday. We took a tour at the city town Arnhem. It's a quite happening place. As usual, shopping streets and sight seeing. It wasn't at the best weather until after lunch around 2 in the afternoon. For a moment, I felt the warm from the sun. Totally overjoyed. Sister and Liselotte went for a swim at the vacation park. I went for a walk touring around the vacation park. Considering it as a full equipped park with facilities and big compound.

greetings from the pool :)
Sunday, we drove out heading towards Ede. Unfortunately, it was empty on the streets. Shops were mostly close, we were touring around with the car. In the end, went to a supermarket for grocery shopping for dinner and breakfast for next morning.
Ps: see the different? In Malaysia, Sundays mark the most happening days of the week from the streets markets and shopping. Here, stay home for family day :)

Monday, Burgers Zoo. It was a big ( not small) zoo. We started our day in the zoo around 10.30am and ended our tour around 2pm ? It was an interesting zoo. The most challenging highlights for me will be remembering the names of the animals in Dutch. ( I've visited 2 zoos, one in Antwerpen one in Arnhem, sorry to say I still can't get all the names of the animals in Dutch in my brain. )
Around 12pm was a downpour. We stayed indoor ( tropical area of the zoo ) . Had our lunch in the restaurant . ( yes, we were dry) As soon as we finished our lunch, the rain stopped and hopped we went continuing exploring the zoo.

Aquarium, sea creatures.

And see what we found ?
Hey Malaysian, have you seen this bear before? It's imported from Malaysia wor

*too many photos to upload*
Tuesday, in the morning we headed to the war museum which was not far from where we stayed. It was a collections of the uniforms, history, pistol and guns and many more from WorldWar2. After that we went back for lunch and in the afternoon we headed towards Ambachten en Speelgoed Museum. It's a collections from the older days till today. Great collection and interesting because papa and mama gave in extra explanations along the exploration. Nice one.

Pancakes for teatime !
Wednesday after lunch, we headed towards Apeldoorn for a golf game. It was in a glow in the dark atmosphere. Had a great time "chasing" the golf ball to the hole!

Thursday we visited the Openlucht museum. That's a museum with interesting transitional houses and cultures. It could be a nice trip but sadly it started raining cats and dogs so we decided to head back to the vacation house and stayed indoor for board games. I'm loving board games now. I don't think I'll have time for that after 3 months when I'm back to busy schedule, hence, DO IT NOW!

on the train heading towards the exit

We didn't have much sunny days, but as long as it's a sunny day we enjoy it and appreciate it.
<3

The trip ended on the 8th. Headed back to Belgium at 10 in the morning. Had a little time at home and followed Maarten to a concert in Brussels.
Check out *Farao*!

Till the next one,
