MakeDaysCount - Berlin, Germany #1
It was my first time exploring a new city all by maps (google maps, maps2go). Before the trip, we had worked on the plans and transport in Berlin. We were extremely excited for our adventure in Berlin. Monday evening, Alice and I hopped on our first adventure.
I'm not a person with good sense of direction, neither is Alice.
Took a little courage to go on this trip but it turned out to be one of the meaning pages from the diary.

It wasn't easy especially we do not come from a country with fully well developed with public transportation. The convenience of public transport doesn't not show its advantages if you do not know how to get on it and go around with it. Germany's public transport is more convenient than Belgium.
Went over to Gent to meet up with Alice before we departed. The strong and wave beat wind got us worried. Can't even describe the wind but it felt like a tornado to me. At that point of time, I felt like I was going to be blown away.The sand blew right into my eyes and that hurts. The frustration continued when the train got delayed and we're afraid we won't be at the gate on time. Challenged conquered. In Germany, Alice and I got hooked up by the train tickets and train routes to the apartment. It was rather a scary experience wondering around at the late night just to get to the place. The streets in Germany are LONG. (seriously) We were at once so excited that we finally found the street and started walking towards the red mark according to the GPS. Then we've got tired and gave up trying, went to a convenience shop and asked a man. He is kind enough to help us googled the place and told us it's the right street but it's at the other end and suggested us to get a underground train. Thanks to him, we found the apartment that night! It was so exhausting but relieved. Challenge conquered again!
We both rested early and prepared ourselves for the next few days adventure.
